Scholl Party Feet at On|Off during London Fashion Week

by partyfeet 16. October 2009 10:41

Catwalk shows, foot pampering and plenty of celebrity watching were all on order when Scholl Party Feet sponsored one of the highest profile fashion events in the world.

At OnlOff during London Fashion Week, Boy George and Martine McCutcheon were just two of the celebrities spotted at the OnlOff Party Feet Party, along with 500 other guests, who enjoyed sampling Scholl Party Feet Ultra Slim Gel Cushions, Scholl foot creams and a bit of Scholl Crackling Ice Foot Spray to keep them cool on the dance floor when SoulIISoul with Caron Wheeler took to the stage.

Models welcomed the invisible gel cushions for their overworked feet as they showed a dazzling array of spring/summer 2010 collections.  After the catwalk shows, they were only too happy to join fashion journalists in the Scholl Reflexology Pod - where Scholl pampered and relaxed their hard-working tootsies.

Also seen at OnlOff during London Fashion Week – the first-ever Scholl Party Feet ‘It’ Girl. Twenty-four-year-old Leanne Mawson from Berkshire won a national competition run through HELLO! magazine to tweet and blog her way through the weekend, including front-row seats at OnlOff catwalk shows.

All in all, it was a showcase weekend for Scholl Party Feet - and indeed a far more comfortable one for all its fashionable guests.  Here’s just a sampling of photos from the weekend. Enjoy!

On|Off Catwalk Style Makes an On-Trend Fashion Statement

by partyfeet 23. September 2009 09:56

Last weekend Scholl teamed up with the legendary On|Off during London Fashion Week for an exclusive collaboration that combined high fashion with one of the UK’s iconic brands – Party Feet. While On|Off staged catwalk shows that previewed spring 2010 trends, Scholl sampled its invisible gel cushions to models, fashionistas, journalists and celebrities - who all left London Fashion Week a little more pampered than when they arrived.

Scholl Party Feet ‘It’ Girl Leanne Mawson enjoyed front row seats at On|Off catwalk shows- host to some of the UK’s most notable up-and-coming designers. She blogged and tweeted her observations onto the partyfeetdiaries site, reporting that heels are showing no sign of lowering and designers are not afraid to take chances. "Sky-high shoes ruled the catwalk," she says, "teamed with short skirts in bold, contrasting colours and beautifully embellished detail – making for so many eye-catching designs. "

Falguni and Shane Peacock attracted the most stylish London fashionistas to their show, which consisted of elaborate prints and luxe detailing –demonstrating high fashion at its most wearable! They’re huge in their home country of India, and with designs like the ones we saw at On|Off it’s easy to see why they’re super popular here as well. Michelle from Destiny’s Child was snapped looking stunning at the show wearing a dazzler from the designer’s collection. Julian J Smith is another name to watch– we predict his fun, quirky designs mixing fabrics such as PVC with linen will be huge!

Unique fashion statements didn’t just stay on the runway – the On|Off Party Feet Party on Saturday night saw celebs such as Martine McCutchen, the Fun Loving Criminals, Jodie Harsh, Siouxsie Sioux, Alice Dellal, Pam Hogg, Speech Debelle, Primal Screen’s Bobby Gillespie, Judy Blame, Louise Roe and Boy George rocking their own distinctive styles. Soul II Soul whipped up the crowds – with more than 500 guests rushing the stage to catch sight of Soul II Soul’s Caron Wheeler – who flew in from New York especially to reunite with the band (few can say no to On|Off creative director Lee Lapthorne).

Scholl’s top fashion tips for becoming a style icon next spring are to make a statement with your fashion choices - keep the colours bright, the hems short and the shoulders sharp for a look that’s guaranteed to turn heads for all the right reasons!

And don’t forget to drop Scholl Party Feet Ultra Slim Invisible Gel Cushions into your high-heeled shoes for the added style and comfort that will take you down for very own catwalk – whether at work or play.

What a Weekend! Signing off...

by partyfeet 20. September 2009 17:53

So my whirlwind weekend as the Scholl Party Feet 'It Girl' has come to an end.  The whole weekend has been unforgettable and I've enjoyed some amazing catwalk shows and some very stylish presentations.

Highlights of the weekend include:

Meeting Boy George (http://www.twitpic.com/ifxoa)

Interviewing Lee Lapthorne, Creative Director of On|Off for On|Off TV (http://www.twitpic.com/igark)

Enjoying several indulgent foot massages from the Scholl reflexologist (http://www.twitpic.com/ifrn8)

Sitting front row at the catwalk shows for some amazing up and coming designers amongst the likes of Michelle from Destiny's Child (http://www.twitpic.com/igmbh)

Last but by all means not least, attending the On|Off Party Feet Party last night (http://www.twitpic.com/ic8qb) where Soul ii Soul performed live and I met some very lovely people including some of the team from Company and HELLO! magazine to name but a few.

For those who have an avid interest in fashion, it would appear that the Spring/Summer 2010 trends will be shorter, bolder and brighter than before.  Keep wearing the highest of high heels but be sure to wear your Scholl Party Feet (or Scholl Party Feet Snowflake for Christmas!!) to avoid having sore feet!

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Scholl for running such an amazing competition and providing me with this once in a lifetime opportunity!  If you haven't had a chance yet, you can view all of the photos on www.twitpic.com/photos/PartyFeetDiary

Falguni & Shane Peacock Catwalk Show

by partyfeet 20. September 2009 17:25

Just back from the Falguni & Shane Peacock catwalk show where we were sitting front row opposite Danielle Lloyd and Michelle from Destiny's Child.  The Spring/Summer 2010 line consists of bold colours, lots of print and some beautiful embellishment detail.  The mini dresses and shoes were really stunning and totally wearable, probably my favourite show of the weekend!

Back in the On|Off VIP lounge and unwinding with a glass of champagne!

Interviewing Lee Lapthorne!

by partyfeet 20. September 2009 16:02

I have just arrived back from interviewing Lee Lapthorne, Creative Director of On|Off.  Lee is a really amazing guy who is enjoying his twelth successful year giving a platform to up and coming designers.  In the future, Lee hopes to promote On|Off more in Paris and would also like another twelve successful years.  Scholl Party Feet has been affiliated with On|Of for three years now and Lee still believes that it's the perfect partnership.  Heels are not only getting higher and higher but Lee believes everyone involved with On|Off should be nurtured the way in which the up and coming designers are.  Lee himself enjoyed the Scholl reflexology today, as you can see here: http://twitpic.com/igark

I have also spent some time today walking around the top floor exhibitions at On|Off during London Fashion Week and have tweeted some of my favourite photos here: http://twitpic.com/photos/PartyFeetDiary.

Really looking forward to the Falguni & Shane Peacock catwalk show which is due to start in 20 minutes - in case you're not aware, these guys are celebrities in their home country of India.  I will be tweeting from the front row so please follow me on Twitter for up to the minute news! www.twitter.com/PartyFeetDiary.

Julian J Smith Catwalk Show

by partyfeet 20. September 2009 13:41

Back from the Julian J Smith catwalk show at On|Off during London Fashion Week.  The London based designer launched his debut 'ready-to-wear' collection inspired from the Op Art movement of the 60s which contrasts and explores the adventurous and the ordinary to great effect.

The collection was amazing, full of bright colours, lots of PVC, linen and shorter than short skirts!  Julian believes "PVC could be considered 'teenage' whereas linen is perhaps grown-up".  Colours contrast in a similar way. The result is not confused and is described as 'happy chaos'.

Check out http://twitpic.com/photos/PartyFeetDiary for pictures of the collection and keep your eyes peeled for a finale video!

Great start to day two at On|Off during London Fashion Week... I enjoyed a full pamper treatment from the Scholl Reflexologist Janet Toolan whilst being filmed by On|Off TV!

This was definitely needed having partied the night away at the On|Off Party Feet Party last night amongst some cool celebrities such as Boy George, Bobby Gilepsie, The Fun Loving Criminals, Speech Debelle, Pam Hogg, Alice Dellal, Siouxsie Sioux, Martine McCutchen, Judy Blane, Soul ii Soul and Jodie Harsh (to name but a few!)

Really looking forward to seeing today's catwalk shows for Julian J Smith and Falguni & Shane Peacock - I will be tweeting pictures from the front row of the catwalk so please follow the Party Feet twitter page at www.twitter.com/PartyFeetDiary to avoid missing any action!!

Finally, later on I'll be heading over to some more exciting exhibitions so please stay tuned for some of the exciting trends which will be seen in Spring/Summer 2010.
